11/25/2023 0 Comments Logitech capture crashing![]() ![]() rough because the "logitech capture" soft doesn't allow to fully control the exposure manually. Looks like the driver of the webcam is not directly usable by the softs : it needs the "logitech capture" software as a bridge to fully understand it. If I put it in 640x480px the image becomes fluid (same in Isa when I choose directly "HD pro webcam C920" as input). But if I close "logitech capture" software and choose directly "HD Pro webcam C920" as an input in 1280x720px I experience the same problems I described earlier : no fluid image, looks like the framerate is 12fps, while the soft indicates 30fps. I can use as an input the "logi capture" driver without making it crash ! ![]() I've been doing a test on VVVV which is a soft I don't know very well : * SSD for the system : Isa is installed on the SSD In my case, it comes with Logitech Capture, it creates a virtual camera. Mark I've been trying with the new webcam alone and it's directly connected on a USB port from my computer. Personnally, I found there is a global issue when you have a virtual camera device. [NOTE: I've edited the title of your post to make the topic more clear for others. Make sure to include the GPS coordinates of the zone & crash to allow our QA team to investigate. I'd like to get some help to get things working, because I'm a bit out of my knowledge here If the crash to the desktop only happens while flying in the same zone, at the same location, every time, please file a bug report. I've just been sending a isa crash report that occured when I clicked on "start live capture". Technician's Assistant: What Operating System (OS) are you running on your computer or device Windows 10. But as soon as I click on "start live capture", Isa crashes. My logitech capture software keeps crashing or does not show the second source on the screen. It generates a "logi capture" virtual input that I see in Isadora. The only solution I found is to install the last version of the logitech "capture" software, in which I can visualize a fluid 720p image. ![]() The UVC driver doesn't provide a fluid 720p image I can't find why (I've been trying an other C920 that I bought last month : same problem, I resent it thinking the webcam had a problem but with this new trial it seems the webcam isn't the problem). for an unknown reason I can't install these 2012 drivers : the logitech 2012 installer tells me that an "incompatible webcam is detected". When I bought my first 2 C920 I had to install specific logitech drivers in order to have a real 30 frames per sec, which wasn't a problem last year : with the "lws280.exe" from logitech (old logitech capture software) I could install drivers from and obtain a fluid signal. It still works with both webcams I've bought last year, but when I connect my new C920 : I've just bought 1 new logitech C920 and I can't obtain a fluid signal in 720p. It aims to help content creators record and edit clips with the help of various tools and features. Logitech Capture is a free video software by Logitech. Maybe there's a way to reset the usb/network services? Just found out that the system itself dosen't crash, it's only the network connection, if i play a sound with aplay, it keeps on playing after the network connection drops. I've updated to the latest firmware and kernel, tried both arch linux and raspbian, tried different cabels, power adapters and usb hubs and the bandwidth quirk described in and i also verified the voltage with a multimeter and it's in the acceptable range, but it still crashes.īefore the connection drops, you can see all that the network leds on the motherboard turns off for a second or two, then comes back on, so there's something going on there. However, suddenly the network and usb connection drops, and there's nothing to do except pull the power cord and restart it. I wanted a fairly decent image quality so I went for the Logitech C920 It all works pretty well for a couple of hours mostly, with arch linux, i can capture full 1080p, with no image corruption.
